Recent trip (Best trip)

My GF and i went on a trip this past feb..It was one of the most memorable trip that i've been on.. First of all, we live here in the NC mountains outside of asheville..We decided to take a 3-4 day trip..We left late evening and went to Morganton and had dinner.. Then we went north to the Brown mountains..We hung around there for a while so we can get a glimpse of the brown mountain lights (paranormal stuff) but it never happened..Oh Boy, it was really dark up there! We moved on and was planning to stay over night at Linville but there wasn't hardly any lodging there so we kept driving. We ended up staying in banner elk for the night which the area is big ski country. After hunkering down for the night, we got up the next morning and went to eat breakfast. Then We was on our way to Roan mountain.. BEAUTIFULLL!! This my number 1 place here in our mountains. We went to Roan mountain from the tennessee side. The mountain itself straddles NC and tennessee. While proceeding driving in the Roan mountain state park, we stopped at a visitor center. There was alot of books and interesting things that tells all about the area. Behind the nature center was trails. We hiked a mile or so on these trails just to see this old historic
mine. Well, our last stop before reaching the summit, we stopped and found the most prettiest place! We got out of the car and imediately you heard the whistling of the wind..We have a couple of WNC paranormal books that talks about how Roan mountain will sing to you..This was the most calming feeling that i ever had felt. You felt nothing but peace. My Gf was in awe and i was too.. Ok, we went over the mountain and went back down into NC. We drove up to boone and late that evening, we found a place to stay. Boone is a wonderful neat little college town. After staying the first night, that following day we went up to Grandfather mountain. We walked across that mile high swinging bridge..I won't do that no more-lol On the last night there at boone, we watched
the superbowl and called it the night..On the way back towards asheville, we stopped at lake james and walked down by the water..By the time we got back home, we was tired of riding but at the same time was refreshed.. Know what i mean?
